Expandable Users CONNECT, LEARN, GROW in Silicon Valley

The International Expandable Users Group Association (IEUGA) staged its annual Expandable Users Conference May 18-20, 2014 at the San Jose Marriott in Silicon Valley. The conference, titled Expandability 2014, brought together Expandable personnel, customers and business partners for three days of roundtable discussions, learning sessions, networking events and presentations. The theme of Expandability 2014 was "Connect. Learn. Grow."

“The mission of our user group is to maintain a reliable stream of information that extends the knowledge and expertise of Expandable users,” says IEUGA President Jan Young, an Expandable user in the San Diego area. “This year’s conference theme, ‘Connect. Learn. Grow.’ was crafted to exemplify our mission. By connecting with others in the group we learn constructive information that helps us grow our professional worth.”

“A big benefit of the conference is immediate access to other users who may be facing or have already overcome similar business challenges.” stated Jan Young. "A major portion of the conference is dedicated to creating opportunities for users to share information. Whether it's participating in the user presentations or networking at events, the conference provides opportunities to interact with other users – and also with Expandable personnel – to learn new tools and techniques and to share ideas.”

Three roundtable discussions were scheduled during the conference, creating an opportunity for Expandable users to share thoughts and ideas around tackling issues common to growing manufacturing organizations. Other conference sessions included information promoting time-saving techniques practiced by the most experienced Expandable users.

Conference activities kicked off on Sunday May 18th with a "meet and greet" welcome reception hosted by Expandable Software, Inc. Conference breakout sessions filled the next two days, covering a range of topics that included presentations by Expandable customers, Expandable support personnel and Expandable business partners.

After the first full day of conference sessions, conference participants enjoyed a fun-filled evening where the IEUGA staged a dinner party and casino night event. Players experienced risk-free gaming while vying for prizes that included an iPad, Kindle Fire and other prizes. The mid-conference dinner party is meant to bring conference attendees together for an entertaining evening aimed at facilitating interaction in a relaxed, fun environment away from the conference center.

Expandable president Bob Swedroe kicked off the conference with an address to the user base, including an outline of the enhancements and new modules being finalized in Expandable’s upcoming release.

The annual Expandable User Conference is sponsored by the International Expandable Users Group Association (IEUGA), an independent, non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the exchange of information between users of Expandable Software, Inc.'s ERP system for growing manufacturers. The IEUGA is run by Expandable customers who volunteer their time to sit on the board of directors.
